Below is an update from DOT regarding closing the eastbound lane of the bridge on Thursday, 4/23, from 6:00 am-4:00 pm. In addition, the north/south vehicle crossing at 12th Ave and Bolley Drive will close next Monday, 4/27. Pedestrian crossing access at this intersection will still be available.
There have been a few incidents where individuals have cut the orange construction fence that runs east/west along 12th Ave and they then create their own crossing point. For everyone’s safety, we ask you not to do this and to cross 12th Ave at the designated pedestrian crossing areas. I realize this may be an inconvenience to you, but this will be a fabulous enhancement to the southern edge of campus and the neighborhood so your cooperation is encouraged.
Thanks to all of you that have been very cooperative so far. Bruce Frantz Director, Facilities Management North Dakota State University
12th Avenue Bridge Eastbound Closed Thursday (Fargo, N.D.) North Dakota Department of Transportation officials will close the eastbound lane of the 12th Avenue North railroad bridge Thursday morning. The closure, which will occur from about 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., will allow crews to clean the bridge deck and install pavement marking. Traffic will be maintained on the westbound lane. Eastbound traffic will be detoured to Great Northern Drive, which runs parallel to the railroad tracks south of 12th Avenue. Motorists are advised to allow extra time to reach their destinations or plan alternate routes.
